We welcome you to our site, and hope you will not only feel like you've know
us a long time, but also feel that you know the Chesapeake Bay Retriever even
better than you thought you did.
Chesapeake Bay Retrievers

Chesapeake's (Chessies) are well known for their hardiness in the rough icy
water. Their strong desire to work and please the owner. They are perhaps the
most hardy of the waterfowl dogs against the rough elements. Chessies want to be
a member of the family and do not do well as a kennel dog or housed totally
outside. We recommend that all Chessies be given the opportunity to be part of
the family, which means time allowed inside the house.
We'd like to first remember out dear departed one's, who without their
legacy, we could have not achieved so much.

"April" carried on the legacy of the well known Eastern Waters line. This
happy-go-lucky girl loves to show her stuff and moves effortlessly around the
ring. She had many Best of Breed wins and also won her class at the Chesapeake
Clubs National Specialty in San Diego, CA, taking a first place in the Veterans
class under very stiff competition. April will be deeply missed.
